My Story as a VA Career Strategist
My work-from-home journey began in 2010 as an online English teacher. Like many Filipinos looking for a better future, I wanted flexibility, income, and purpose—but the path wasn’t always clear.
By 2013, I found myself starting over again as a cold caller, earning just ₱80 per hour, working under another VA. I had no guidance, no training, no mentor—just grit and the hope that there was something more. I believed there had to be a better way.
So, I taught myself. I hustled. And after three months of trial, error, and perseverance, I landed my first direct client. That opportunity changed everything.
From cold calling, I moved into a hybrid VA role for a Canadian client—working both as an Executive Assistant and an Account Specialist. I learned, I upskilled, and by 2018, I found my niche: recruitment. I loved connecting people with opportunities that changed their lives—just as someone once gave me mine.
The Birth of The VA Ladder
During the pandemic, while I sat at the table with food to share with my family, I couldn’t ignore the reality that many others were struggling. I thought about the moms, the jobseekers, the overlooked—people who just needed a chance.
So, I started small. I trained a few stay-at-home moms, single moms—women who felt they had lost their value just because they stayed home. The impact was immediate. One training became two. Then more. Soon, even men wanted in—and The VA Ladder was born.
I created a Facebook page, a space to share free training, mentorship, job leads, and hope. A space where aspiring Virtual Assistants could believe in themselves again.
And now? We’ve grown into a nationwide community of hardworking, heart-led Filipino VAs—ready to serve the world.

Why We Exist?
Because no one should have to start from scratch like I did. Because opportunity should be based on effort, not income.
Because the world needs to see the power of Filipino talent—rooted in hard work, hospitality, and heart.
Our Commitment
At The VA Ladder, my mission is simple: That is to equip aspiring VAs with the skills, confidence, and support they need to succeed—and to connect them with clients who will trust in their potential. We don’t just train VAs.
